  • August 3, 2018
    2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

HomesUSAAlliance 2-Day Certification hosted at MetroTex Duncanville Service Center

  Course Overview:

Blueprints are 2-dimensional architectural design drawings that indicate the size of a planned home, the materials to be used in its construction, and the placement of its features. Architects and builders use blueprints and written specifications to communicate to construction workers how the home is to be constructed.

Learning to read blueprints is essential not only for construction workers but also for agents who desire to sell new homes, so that they can help their clients make a more informed housing decision. The goal of the seminar is to familiarize agents with reading both conceptual design as well as construction plans. At the end of the course agents will have a working knowledge of blueprint reading.

Successfully completing this 2-hour seminar teaches agents the following:

  1. To assist agents in reading and understanding a home’s design as seen in a set of blueprints, assist agent to make knowledgeable suggestions to a client concerning floor plan configuration and product specifications when buying a home before it’s constructed.
  2. To teach agents what’s on a blueprint, how to navigate through a blueprint, learn basic blueprint terminology, understand who uses a blueprint, and understand what design parameters come into play when deciding upon a builder, a lot and a floor plan.
