The list was created by comparing the median home price near a “drag-me-down facility” with the median price for all homes in the same county. The study was limited to the 100 largest U.S. metropolitan areas.
The top neighborhood facility that hamper the value of a home is a bad school. It can drag down the value of the home by 22.2%, which is a considerably higher percentage than the strip clubs, power plants or cemeteries.
